Dondo Dam (Tukuhara lake)

Dondo Dam is a dam which dammed up the Sijimi river and the Yamada river which flow through Kita-ku, Kobe-shi and the Miki Sijimi town, and was made.

Dondo Dam is a water jar of Kobe which is proud of area 105ha, 71.5m in height of a bank, and the pondage of 18,860,000 cubic meters, and a Toban area. It was completed in 1989 in order to secure the drinking water of the role and Kobe as water for irrigation which send water to fields, or a Toban area, and it completed in 1992. It is a dam lake over the Miki-shi, Hyogo Sijimi town and Kita-ku, Kobe-shi. It seems that it is referred to as Tukuhara by the Dondo Dam and Kobe side at the Miki side. Even if it sees nationally southern Hyogo which belongs to the Setouchi climate of warm few rain from the first, there is little precipitation, there are circumstances hit by the drought from ancient times -- rather -- the dam of this area -- the river improvement enterprise of the measure against a flood -- rather than -- as [ make / from the purpose of head reservation of water-for-agricultural-use reservation, drinking water, etc. / in many cases ]
